The TUFF COUNTRY CUP is the result of a very generous donation from Troy Davis of TUFF COUNTRY. The TUFF COUNTRY CUP consists of a yearlong point system and a final tournament to be played on 25 & 26 September. To qualify for this CUP, a player must earn a minimum of 16 points. A player earns points in the following two ways: first, each round of a tournament is worth 2 points; second, in all individual tournaments, that count towards your Handicap, your points awarded will be your positive score using the Chicago scoring system. For example, if a player finishes a round with a +5, he would earn a total of 7 points. No negative points will be used. The individual that earns the most combined points will be deemed the TUFF COUNTRY CUP WINNER. The tie breaker will be a sudden death playoff. The winner will receive a beautiful trophy and $500.00 from our sponsor TUFF COUNTRY. The TUFF COUNTRY CUP final event will be a straight Chicago format and as a way of showing appreciation for our organization, the Mountain View Staff has agreed to put all the revenue from the entry , green, and cart fees back into the prize money for this tournament. The qualifiers will be vying for first place prize of $700.00. The top 1/3 of the field should earn some prize money. |
